About the destination

Angra dos Reis is a municipality located in the south-end of the state of Rio de Janeiro. It consists of 365 islands and a small port surrounded by the wooded and rugged coastline. The region is famous for its many beaches and its larger island, Ilha Grande, which enjoys great biodiversity. Vila do Abracao is the most important village on the island and has restaurants, bars and the church of San Sebastian, located in the center. There is also a path that leads to the ruins of the Criminal Institute candide Mendes.
