The Ngorongoro Conservation area is a protected area located in the volcanic Highlands of Tanzania. All of the protected land covers an area of about 8500 km² approximately. Due to its location in the volcanic Highlands can find nine volcanoes, of which only one is active, the Oldoinyo Lengai. The tourist offer is in safaris and guided tours which are made throughout the natural area even though two of the most attractive tourist destinations in Tanzania are also and have a great popularity worldwide these are; the stunning Ngorongoro Crater and Oldupai Gorge, one of the most important sites for the research of the evolution of the human species.
